Duration and Timetable
4 weeks - Tues & Thurs 5.30pm – 7.30pm + One Beach Patrol.
Prerequisites
Age at date of Award
A MINIMUM OF 15 YEARS OF AGE on the date of the final assessment
FITNESS & SKILLS
Pool Swim - 400m Swim (12 laps) in less than 9 minutes
Surf and Beach - 200m Run + 200m Swim + 200m Run in less than 8 minutes
FINANCIAL MEMBERSHIP
ACTIVE 15 – 18 years - $40
ACTIVE 18+ years - $65
COURSE COSTS
Award Fee - $25
Training Manual (33rd Edition) - $40

Note: All graduates are required to undertake patrol duties
ADITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Prior to the commencement of the course, please ensure that you make yourself familiar with the following documents, available from the Surf Life Saving website.

You should also print a copy of the Training Enrolment Form and bring this completed and signed form with you to the course. You can also access this form from the website - select Academy; Resources; Training Forms, then SLSNSW Member Training Forms

Surf Life Saving is very much a Team activity. Late withdrawal from the Course has adverse consequences on all other participants. If you cannot attend please advise your Instructor ASAP.
